Heuchera 'Midnight Burgundy' (PP#15,358) is an improved form of 'Midnight Claret.' This plant is more vigorous but has the same general appearance.

Growth Habit - A dense mound about 8" high X 12" wide. The erect flower stems are about 18" tall.

Foliage -
Dark purple, lightly silvered foliage. When 'Midnight Burgundy' is well-fed and in bright light, the foliage becomes so dark as to be almost black.

Flowers -
Small, cream colored flowers appear in late spring on upright 18" stalks.

Special Features -
'Midnight Burgundy' retains its dark color through the season, not turning dark green. The compact habit and erect flower stems give it excellent pot presentation for retail sales and make it an excellent choice for container culture.
